Dear customers,
We’re of for a vacation in France. We will not be shipping cheese until August 11th. Of course you can place orders. They’ll be shipped the week of our return.
In France we’ll be on the lookout for farm produced goat cheese. “Chevre”

Food411.com likes our cheese

We recently shipped a cheese to food411.com as a sample.
They said “We tasted the mature farmers cheese and it was just wonderful. We are guessing that the “old”variety must be off the charts. Highly recommended – takes about a week to received shipment.”
Furthermore they wrote a blog post on us. Thanks for the great review!

A great fresh spring sandwich
posted 2008 Apr by Jaap Linssen
Last weekend we had our first lunch outdoors. Yeah, the weather is starting to feel like spring. We made some nice sandwiches. There was one that looked really nice and was our favorite taste wise. It was a dark whole grain piece of bread with extra mature cheese, red paprika, and pickles.

We have added tools

If you want to put a slice of cheese on a sandwich or grate some cheese on a salad a special tool comes in handy. In Holland these tools are standard in every household. We have chosen not to start with good quality but not very expensive tools.
There is a special offer; if you buy 4 2.2 lbs wheels, you get a slicer for free.

Spring seems to have arrived

We had a relatively cold spring in Holland. Nature is therefore late and the cows are still inside waiting for the grass to really start growing. The last week however temperatures have started rising, trees are becoming green, and the grass has started to grow. Now why is this interesting? When the land is dry enough and the grass has started to grow, the cows will move outside eating the fresh nutritious grass. This also means the milk of the cows will change in substance, which in turn will influence the taste of the cheese produced.
The size of a 1kg cheese

We got our first email question on the size of a 1 kg wheel of cheese. To give you an idea, there are two foto’s below.

This is my two year old daughter holding a 1kg wheel.

Here we are!

We have gone live!!
The past few weeks we spent figuring out the best way to package the cheese. We tested the packaging by sending of test shipments to friends in the USA. We are now confident the cheese gets to you in good condition.
Spring has started and the Dutch cows will be going out to graze the fresh grass the coming weeks. I’ll try to shoot some film of the cows first steps outside after their winter stay in the stables. They go crazy!!! :-) The first “grass cheese” will be available about 4 weeks after the cows go out.
For the near future we will start to add more farms to our shop. We will also be looking to add goat cheese to our assortment. Furthermore, we will be adding some tools to slice, cut, and eat the cheese.
I hope you all start buying and enjoying this great Dutch delicacy.
